Happy 1st Birthday, Little Man!

Little Man, there is only one of you and you are a precious gift. Your quiet joy and delighted giggles bring joy. Your determined curiosity is fun to watch.

You are a treasure in an earthen vessel and it is a privilege to watch you grow and learn and explore. The mighty things you do in life may seem small, but you have a God Who Sees You and is greater than anything which will come against you. Be assured, things will come against you; that is the nature of the fallen world we live in. But you have family and a Mighty God here to help you, protect you, comfort you, and always love you no matter what.

You will never be alone, even on your darkest day. Jesus will always be with you.

Never forget that, ‘k?

Love you bunches and bunches, Little Man!

Little Man Turns One!

Tomorrow is Little Man’s first birthday. On Saturday we had a big, fun party for him! It was a gorgeous day for the party.

Does he look impressed with his cake?
Gardening was one of the many activities at the party.
Baby E has the cutest grin!
Other Baby E was a delight to play with.
Playing with Cousin J2 was more fun than eating lunch
Cake and candle time! Of course, Little Man went for the candle – but it was windy so he didn’t feel the flame.
Little Man had more fun playing in the frosting than eating, I think. It didn’t hurt that he had just finished lunch! šŸ˜‰
What’s the big fuss?! You, Little Man!
The next morning, Little Man was dedicated.

{Wedding} Reception

Let the party continue! Laughing at toasts. Wedding painting surprise! S’mores and games and a beautiful evening outside, with beautiful music and conversation inside. “I think he forgot he was looking for me.” The trials of hide-and-seek at a wedding reception.Ā The evening ended with Big Bro singing a song over them and dancing.

Easter Past

Easter was a pretty fun day hanging out with family while kids conducted a hunt for brightly colored plastic filled with candy, money, and rocks. Even J4 had fun, despite being pretty sick and not able to sleep until the end of the day!
