This year I picked one branch and took a photo of it each day to see how the tree changed each day.
I had fun playing with a prism to take these photos. This first one set shows the same branch without and then with the prism.
As the week went on, the flowers went from deep pink, to light pink, to white. Wen the wind picked up and pulled all the petals off, the little stars which were left were equally beautiful.
Each day the tree had more blossoms. This is the fullest the tree has ever been while we’ve lived here!
You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
On Mother’s Day we woke up to the tree in the back blooming profusely in a deep, beautiful pink. This same tree 4 or 5 years ago seemed dead and there was talk that it would be coming down. I’m so glad it stayed!
This feels like forever ago. I found these photos left on my camera while I was in Germany, and they were already a few months old! Now they are even older, and we are deep into fall so I want to remember spring for a day!
