Kristin and I had a chance to talk a beautiful walk through the Arboretum in Chaska. It was almost pure heaven for me.
Dalias, daisies, lilies, and snap dragons.
Hues of yellows, oranges, pinks, reds and every color in between.
Did you know there were black eyed susan vines?! Such whimsy!
There were many spots that reminded me of Psalm 23:
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside the still waters,
He restores my soul.
The garden themes were amazing and some were so calming, like the Japanese garden and the rose garden!
These were two of the prettiest roses, Disneyland and Candy Cane Cocktail!
One day for a rest, Janet I took off and met a friend at her country garden for wandering through the flowers and dinner. It was such a beautiful, relaxing evening!
Springbrook Nature Center is my favorite place to visit on a good weather day. Different things can be seen by switching up which paths you walk on, what the weather is like, and the season. During the Fall the landscape changes weekly!
Springbrook has gone through many changes in the past year, most of which I am loving. During this walk I found a little path that took me to a little haven full of bright yellow happiness.
The little yellow flowers above remind me of the sun emblem of Rapunzel’s kingdom in Tangled.
For a couple months there was this cool tree teepee deep in the woods. I knew some boys who would have loved playing in it, but alas! It was taken down before they could visit.
Krögis is where it all began. Janet moved to Germany to help a mission organization in their new building, which needed renovation and a LOT of cleaning! Janet eventually moved on to a new job in Germany and moved to Meißen for her job.
It wasn’t a far drive, so she took me out to the Steiger base to see it! We both have friends there, so it was a relaxing few hours of visiting and wandering around checking out all the work they have done and are continuing to do!
Most of my pictures were lost form this day due to a fight with a computer, but I was able to salvage some of my favorites, which are mostly from the gardens. Gardens are definitely one of my happy places, and Germany is filled with beautiful gardens!
I love seeing little love notes from God.
Leaves in the shape of hearts.
Golden light and my favorite bench.
Waving fields of gold.
Tunnels of green leading to light.
Peek-a-boo with deer in the forest.
Yellow trees clapping in the breeze.
Sunbeams lighting up fall flowers.
Shadow art and water.
Wide open fields of autumn.
My friend Lesa has a beautiful baby girl, Tori. Tori was recently diagnosed with Krabbe. Follow Tori’s story on facebook.
Recently a challenge was posted on Lesa’s blog to bring Tori …EVERYWHERE with the hashtag #ToriTravels! That day I printed a picture and took Tori with me to Innsbruck and sat a while by the pond and found flowers for mother’s day.
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
